← Dateline for Mac
Terms of Service
Last updated November 3, 2026
These terms cover the Dateline app for Mac and this website. Dateline is made and sold by John Hesch (Workbench Goods). By using Dateline, you agree to them.
The free trial
Dateline is free to try for 7 days from the first time you open it. After the trial, your calendar stays visible, but adding and changing events needs a license key.
Your license
Buying Dateline is one payment, with no subscription. You get a license key by email from the store. The key is for your own use, on your own Macs. Please don't share, sell or publish it. A key that is shared publicly may be turned off in a later version.
Refunds
Because you can try the full app free for 7 days before buying, purchases are not refunded, except where the law where you live requires it.
Your calendars and accounts
Dateline works with the calendars and accounts you connect to it, such as iCloud and Google. Your use of those services is also covered by their own terms. How Dateline handles your information is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Fair use
Don't use Dateline to break the law or to harm anyone, and don't copy, resell or take apart the app to get around the license.
No warranty
Dateline is provided as it is. I work to make it reliable, but I can't promise it will be free of errors or that it will never miss an event or an alert. Keep your own judgement for anything important, such as travel or medical appointments.
Limit of liability
As far as the law allows, I'm not liable for indirect or lost-data damages from using Dateline, and my total liability is limited to what you paid for it.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
